The last day of a week long road trip and consequently ending this "Eight Days a Week" travelogue.
Saint John the Baptist Ukrainian Catholic Church was my last stop before heading back home.
The church was in use from 1944-1986. Still looks pretty good these thirty-five years later.
Looking east toward...
...the entrance from the main road.
A close-up.
On my way to the church I stopped at the cemetery...no markers or headstones remain except for an anonymous steel post on one corner.

Photographed near Glidden, Saskatchewan on July 31, 2021.
I'm still intrigued by the shape at the rear of the building...rather unusual I think. Would have required more than the average engineering knowledge.
ReplyDeleteIt's odd to have a four-sided apse (three or five sides is more the norm).
