Alexander Plain S.D. No. 1029

Heavy frost on the Alexander Plain School sign.

It was even colder than the photos suggest.

Twenty-one months earlier to the day it looked like this.

Alexander Plain School was a few miles east of Burstall, Saskatchewan.

Photographed on November 22, 2020 (Photos #1 and #2) and February 22, 2019 (Photo #3).

  1. I love these wonderful signs - so much artistry goes into them. The snow?....not so much.

    1. This is a particularly attractive sign used to mark the locations of several pioneer schools in Saskatchewan. Certainly one of my favourites.

This is Canada...snow is a fact of life. Enjoy it!

    2. hah - nope, nothing can convince me snow is a good thing. Unless I'm on the inside looking out on a fresh fall glittering in the sun. I can appreciate that, but don't make me set foot in it!
