Foster S.D. No. 388


A stone schoolhouse near Abernathy, Saskatchewan.


It is one of the oldest surviving school buildings in the province.

    1. Sometimes the day just isn't long enough. The Abernathy area is "the" place to see old stone buildings in Saskatchewan.

    1. Yes, metal it is. Metal roofs are the most cost effective but aren't historically accurate. A new cedar shake roof would have cost a small fortune.
