I am always impressed when visiting cemeteries in the rural areas and small towns of the prairies to see the many grave markers of veterans. When you see how many who returned and are honoured by a marker, you wonder how many more made the ultimate sacrifice and didn't come home.
Thanks MA. The addition of the cenotaph was a heartfelt addition to Saint Margaret's. The veterans buried in the cemetery can now rest a little easier knowing they will always be remembered in a thoughtful and meaningful way.
Lest we forget.

ReplyDeleteMany, I'm sure.
DeleteBelow is a link to a story I'm sure you'll find interesting. (I've know the Gordon family here in Medicine Hat for decades).

What a wonderful tribute to those who served and continue to serve.
