The grain elevator in Wakaw, Saskatchewan.
The sunset light was absolutely brilliant.
Beats me why the "Okanagan Valley Wine Train" was parked here. The little train in the logo looks pretty happy though...I'm with him!
Wakaw was a good centre of operations for the area. A motel, good Chinese food, gas and a well-stocked beer store...all one needs for an extended road trip.

Great views of the elevators and the Okanagan Valley cars. I believe those cars are some of a fleet owned by a farmer in Saskatchewan, and his cars are parked here and there across the Prairies, waiting to run again. ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Steve. Those were some handsome passenger cars.
DeleteGreat shots as always.
ReplyDeleteThanks, BW.
DeleteThe little logo train was perhaps imbibing a little too much on the wine train! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteI hope he's not driving the train! Lol!
