A designated pioneer farmstead east of Battleford, Saskatchewan.
These places are a reminder of the not-so-distant past and, maybe even more importantly, they give a multitude of wild birds and animals a home.
Charles Lee had a pretty nice house.

I like the idea of the plaque - too bad more places didn't have that feature. Would be interesting to know more about Charles Lee and how the house came to be abandoned.
ReplyDeleteI only occasionally see a farmstead memorial but it would be a welcome historical feature to see more of them.
