Quack-Quack

It was lunch time and the closest place to get a bite to eat was in Andrew.  It was a Sunday and the restaurant was packed...just about everyone in town was either eating-out or picking up a pizza to go.  Since it would be about twenty minutes before my order was ready I decided to take a walk around town and...

...just across the street was this sculpture of a Mallard duck.

Weighing in at a ton with a wingspan of twenty-three feet I'm sure its won its billing as the "Largest Mallard Duck in the World."  Fun stuff.

Photographed in Andrew, Alberta on June 26, 2022.

  1. Have you ever heard the song "Giants of the Prairies" by the Kubasonics? It's about all these giant statues in small prairie towns, including the Andrew mallard duck! Here's a link to a "fan made" video that is actually very good --
