This past winter I came across something I hadn't seen in years...a concession booth.
This is where you could get a hot dog, hamburger or pop at any number of community events. The people manning the counter always knew your name and if you were a penny short it was no big deal.
The booth in these photos is at Saint Michael's Parish near Rossington, Alberta. Chances are they have perogies and sausages on the menu.

I haven't seen one of those in years. There used to be some here at the previous fairgrounds but that was sold and turned into housing development so the booths were lost.
