Folk Art

A grave marker at the first cemetery of Saint Julien Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Mary the Protectress.

For me this was a remarkable and outstanding find.  It's rare to see such a lovingly handcrafted memorial for a dear one that has passed.

Photographed near Saint Julien, Saskatchewan on August 5, 2020.

  1. It looks as though he must have been a carpenter. It's a wonderful marker but sad to think that it won't be there forever.
