A prairie hare amongst the headsones at a country cemetery.
As soon as he or she noticed me...gone like a flash! They don't want anything to do with people...and somedays I have much the same feeling.
Photographed at Saint Demetrius Cemetery near Gardenton, Manitoba on August 22, 2022.
In urban areas, cemeteries are often full of rabbits because people don't tend to walk their dogs in cemeteries, unlike public parks.
ReplyDeleteHow true...good for the hares.
DeleteI always enjoy seeing hares, mainly because I get a kick out of their oversized ears.
ReplyDeleteI don't see them much where I live in southeastern Alberta but see them quite often on trips through Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
