Retrospective - Outside and In - Part 1

Often an annual retrospective is a random collection of favourite photos taken throughout the year, which is a fine idea...a recollection of the past.  But this year I wanted to try something different and more thematic.

What I decided upon was a collection of photos of churches that I had the opportunity to see both outside and inside...none of which have been posted previously.  So, while the photos here represent memories for me, they will be a new experience for the viewers.

The two photos above are:

  2. Well you made good use of 2020. There are some amazing images here. Nice The one above called Holy Guardian looks so plain on the outside that I would have been tempted to pass by it. However the inside very nice.

    1. Thanks Glen. Churches of any age are favourite subject matter for photos...seeing inside is a bonus. Don't forget, never judge a book by its cover.

  3. My favourite is the unassuming grey stone church with the purple interior. So plain outwardly and yet so ornate inside.

    1. Many Ukrainian country churches are colourful and elaborate inside while maintaining a modest and plain exterior. Thanks MA.
