As Dale R. mentions below, these bridges are nearly indestructible. Because it would be too expensive to demolish them they are now roadside attractions for the passersby. That's a "win" for the people.
I have been told that these bridges are so strong that they are nearly indestructible. They are pretty much unique to Sask and one of my favourite subjects to photograph.
This one is in a tough spot to photograph. There is is no approach to park on that's near the bridge so I had to pull off into the ditch. Where there's a will, there's a way.
At least when they put the new highway in place they didn't tear down the wonderful bridge - that doesn't always happen.
