Across the Border

The east side of Empress, Alberta runs along the Alberta/Saskatchewan border.

This big old house sits just across the border in Saskatchewan.  Nice day too!

  2. Somehow I missed this during on my trips through the area.

  3. Did you see the old concrete bridge stanchions across the South Sask? I missed them as well as some other sites when I was there.

    1. I took the road westward from Estuary and got reasonably close to them. I'd like to see them from that spot in early morning light.

  4. It looks quite lonely. Makes me wonder at their existence so far away from their closest neighbour. And we bitch and moan about having to self isolate now!!

    1. The house is literally just across the road from the village of Empress. I don't mind self-isolation. When I get "cabin fever" I can go for a walk or for a drive on the country roads. I can't imagine a safer place than the back roads.
