This beautiful church of Byzantine architecture is the Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church of Saint Elia in Wroxton, Saskatchewan.
The cornerstone. This is the third church of the congregation and was built in 1953. The two earlier churches were built in 1902 and 1913.

Great churches and other sites in that area. Plan to get back there one of these days. Nice photos.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dale. Lots to see around Wroxton.
DeleteI was in the area earlier this year and bypassed Wroxton. That was a mistake.
ReplyDeleteThe Wroxton area is rich with history. A revisit is in order.
DeleteThat church is impressive even when slightly worn - imagine what it must have looked like in prior times when it was new.
