Day Lilies for the Dead
Beautiful little cemetery on a hillside where the day lilies were in full bloom.
I was staying in Dauphin for a few days where the better part of my day was spent out in the countryside taking in the sights. Each evening I'd make it back to the motel just as the sun was setting and on my last night there I struck up a conversation with the acting desk clerk, where, as it turned out...her parents were buried in the cemetery at Rhodes. She had also seen the beautiful day lilies in full bloom. I love these little connections that are seemingly "out of the blue." Small world. She was an avid gardener too.

Saint Mary's in Melville
This is Saint Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Melville, Saskatchewan. Whenever I'm in town I stop for a few photos.
"Pretty" is a word I seldom use to describe a church but Saint Mary's is the prettiest church I've ever seen. Thanks to those who care for her so lovingly.

Bully
A sculpture at the entrance to a ranch near Ochre River, Manitoba.
Arrived in Dauphin in the late afternoon and after checking into the motel there was plenty of time for a drive in the country to see some of the sights. Along the way I met some friendly folks who pointed me towards a few things that I would otherwise have missed..."Bully" being one of them.
He's pretty impressive...don't you think?
