I wonder if this must have been a family cemetery. There are a lot of those dotted around the countryside, to say nothing about the people who were simply buried 'under the old oak tree' in the corner of the farm property. I've been searching for the burial location of one of DH's relatives who died at the age of 17 of TB and I think that's what must have happened with her.

ReplyDeleteMy guess would be that it's a family cemetery or "neighborhood" cemetery. There are lots of unmarked graves all around the countryside.
