Andy

A cast bronze frame and cover for a ceramic photograph.  The cover rotates to reveal the photo underneath.

This was a headstone detail I hadn't previously encountered during a cemetery visit.  An unexpected treat.

Photographed at Saint Mary the Protectress Ukrainian Greek Orthodox Church and New Cemetery near Saint Julien, Saskatchewan.

  1. I've never seen a detail like that either - at least the picture won't be liable to fade over time.

    1. I was surprised and pleased to find a few others like this on a subsequent trip to the same area. The image is a kiln-fired ceramic photo which will last for hundreds of years in the elements.
