Seeing the family cemetery raises the question about whether there are records anywhere of who might be buried there. I've been searching for the death/burial site of one of our relatives and know she died of TB. I suspect she died at home and is most likely buried under an old tree on the farm.

ReplyDeleteThere are lots of unmarked graves, in and out of cemeteries. Records of the deaths would most likely be by word of mouth or in someone's diary.
