Saskatchewan Mental Hospital Cemetery

Have stopped here several times over the years.  

It was a long time coming but was pleased to see the powers that be finally erected a sign at the cemetery in 2019.

A line of trees splits the cemetery into north and south sections.  Many of the gravesites remain unmarked.  

Everyone should be remembered.

Winter at the Witch House

It's been beastly hot down here in southeastern Alberta so I think it's time to cool things off with some wintery shots of the witch house.

This is the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Immaculate Conception in Cooks Creek, Manitoba...

...or simply "Prairie Cathedral" as it is known locally.

Goose Monument

This giant Canada Goose statue in Lundar, Manitoba stands eighteen feet high and twenty feet wide.

Paul Emile

A boy's grave marker at Cimetière de Notre-Dame de Lourdes near Verwood, Saskatchewan.  Lots of colour variations on the dual-layered steel marker makes for a bright spot in this country cemetery.

A charming mural painted on a brick wall in downtown Wawanesa, Manitoba.

There's a really great restaurant just down the street called La Rocque.  You may need to make a reservation for the supper meal.
